These crispy salmon bites coated in everything bagel seasoning and air fried to perfection are paired with a tangy cream cheese dip, making a quick and flavorful snack or appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Olive oil spray
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  2. In one shallow bowl, combine the flour and half of the everything bagel seasoning.
  3. In a second bowl, beat the eggs until smooth.
  4. In a third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs with the remaining everything bagel seasoning.
  5. Toss the salmon cubes first in the flour mixture, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat evenly with the panko and seasoning mix. Press gently to help the coating adhere.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and run empty for 3 minutes.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket lightly with olive oil spray. Place the coated salmon bites in a single layer without touching.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature about 145°F / 63°C). Cook in batches if needed.
  9. While the salmon cooks, combine softened cream cheese, lemon juice, dill, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Whisk in milk or cream one tablespoon at a time until smooth and dippable.
  10. Serve the crispy salmon bites immediately with the cream cheese dip.

Notes

Pat salmon dry to ensure coating sticks and bites get crispy. Do not overcrowd air fryer basket to avoid soggy bites. Spray bites lightly with olive oil spray before cooking for golden crust. Check bites at 8 minutes and add 1-2 minutes if needed. Reheat leftovers in air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to maintain crispiness. Can substitute almond flour and gluten-free breadcrumbs for gluten-free version. Cream cheese dip can be made ahead and stored in fridge.
