A simple, no-cook charcuterie board designed for a cozy night in. Featuring creamy brie, aged gouda, salty prosciutto, sweet figs, and crunchy nuts, it’s a low-stress, high-reward meal for two.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 oz (115g) Brie or Camembert
  • 4 oz (115g) Aged Gouda or Manchego
  • 4 oz (115g) Prosciutto
  • 2 oz (55g) Salami or Soppressata
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) Honey or Fig Jam
  • 1/2 cup (75g) Dried Figs or Apricots
  • 1 small Apple or Pear, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (70g) Mixed Nuts (e.g., Marcona almonds, walnuts)
  • 1/2 cup (65g) Good Olives or Cornichons (optional)
  • 1 small Baguette or handful of Crackers
  • Dark Chocolate (optional, for garnish)
  • Fresh Herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Take brie out of fridge 30 minutes before serving to soften. Slice baguette into 1/2-inch rounds (optional: toast at 350°F for 5-7 minutes). Wash and slice apple or pear; toss with lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Place small bowls on board for honey/jam, olives, and nuts. Arrange bowls in a balanced way.
  3. Place cheeses on board. Leave brie whole; slice a few wedges of gouda and fan them out.
  4. Fold prosciutto slices in half twice and place in piles. Fold salami into quarters. Arrange meat near complementary cheeses.
  5. Scatter dried figs or apricots in empty spaces. Arrange baguette slices in a fan. Place fresh fruit slices in a cluster.
  6. Fill remaining gaps with nuts. Tuck dark chocolate squares in a corner. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
  7. Serve immediately at room temperature with small plates, cheese knives, and napkins.

Notes

Let cheeses come to room temperature for best flavor. Don’t overthink arrangement; focus on color and texture contrast. Use a ‘filler’ ingredient like nuts or dried fruit to fill gaps. Prep all ingredients before starting assembly.
