A quick, creamy, and spicy buffalo chicken dip made with cream cheese, ranch, and cheddar. Perfect for game day, parties, or a comforting snack that comes together in under 15 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 8 ounces full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup creamy ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (e.g., Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 stalks green onions, sliced (for garnish)
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Shred the cooked chicken using two forks or a mixer until you have 2 cups.
  3. Cut the cream cheese into cubes and let it sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to soften.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth.
  5. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, blue cheese crumbles, garlic powder, onion powder, and shredded chicken until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a 9×9 inch baking dish and spread evenly. Create a slight depression in the center.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are bubbly and the top is lightly golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with celery sticks and tortilla chips.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps. Do not overbake to prevent the cheese from separating and becoming oily. For a crispy top, broil for the last 2 minutes while watching closely. Can be made ahead by mixing ingredients up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerating before baking.
