A quick and simple lemonade slush made with just lemonade and ice, perfect for cooling down on hot summer days with a refreshing, tangy icy texture.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (960 ml) fresh or good-quality bottled lemonade
  • 4 cups (approximately 500 g) ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Pour 4 cups (960 ml) of lemonade into a large mixing bowl or pitcher.
  2. Add 4 cups (approximately 500 g) of ice cubes directly into the lemonade.
  3. Stir vigorously with a wooden or large spoon for about 3 to 5 minutes until the ice starts breaking down and the mixture thickens into a slush.
  4. If a thicker, icier texture is desired, place the bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes, then stir again. Repeat until preferred consistency is reached.
  5. Serve immediately in glasses, optionally garnished with a lemon wedge or mint sprig.

Notes

Use chilled lemonade to help ice break down faster. Crushing ice before mixing speeds up the process. Stir consistently to create fine ice crystals and avoid watery lemonade. For a fizzy twist, use sparkling lemonade. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 days; thaw slightly and stir before serving.
