A quick and elegant cheese board featuring creamy brie, fresh summer fruit, and a drizzle of honey, perfect for effortless entertaining and spontaneous gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces (225 grams) creamy, soft brie cheese wheel or wedge
  • About 2 cups (300 grams) fresh summer fruit (peaches sliced, strawberries hulled and halved, blueberries, figs, or a mix)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) raw or wildflower honey

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry your chosen summer fruits thoroughly. Slice peaches or strawberries into bite-sized pieces (about ¼-inch thick for peaches, halves or quarters for strawberries). If using blueberries or grapes, just rinse and pat dry.
  2. Remove the brie from its packaging and place it on your board. Leave the wheel whole or slice into wedges for easier serving. Optionally, score the top rind slightly to help the honey seep in.
  3. Arrange the brie in the center or slightly off to one side of the board. Artistically arrange the fruit around it with overlapping slices and little piles for a natural, inviting look.
  4. Gently drizzle the honey over the brie and some of the fruit using a honey dipper or spoon. Use a light drizzle to enhance flavor and add shine.
  5. Optionally, scatter toasted nuts or fresh herbs around the board for added texture and color. Add a few extra drops of honey if desired.

Notes

Let brie sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving for extra creaminess. Use a warm knife to slice brie to prevent sticking. Assemble board shortly before serving to avoid sogginess. Optional warming of brie in oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes creates a gooey center.
