A quick and refreshing summer slushie made with just watermelon, lemonade, and ice. Perfect for cooling down on hot days with a sweet-tart flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh watermelon cubes (seedless if possible)
  • 1 cup lemonade (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Cut about 4 cups (about 600g) of seedless watermelon into cubes, removing any large seeds if needed.
  2. Pour the watermelon cubes into the blender pitcher. Add 1 cup (240ml) of lemonade and 2 cups (about 480g) of ice cubes. If using frozen watermelon, reduce ice to 1½ cups.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed for about 45 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and icy with no large chunks.
  4. Check the texture; it should be thick enough to sip through a straw but not too icy. If too thick, add a splash of lemonade; if too thin, add a few more ice cubes and pulse a few times.
  5. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a lemon wheel or mint sprig if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Use ripe watermelon for maximum sweetness. Crushed or smaller ice pieces blend more easily. Avoid over-blending to prevent watery slush. Keep watermelon and lemonade chilled before blending for best results. Pulse blender to break ice before continuous blending.
