This creamy, spiced pumpkin cold foam transforms your iced coffee into a seasonal celebration in under five minutes. Made with simple ingredients like pumpkin puree, milk, and pumpkin pie spice, it’s a healthier, budget-friendly alternative to the coffee shop favorite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) cold whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (240 ml) strong brewed coffee, chilled
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: 1-2 tablespoons milk or cream

Instructions

  1. Brew and chill your coffee. Use a dark roast for bold flavor; brew the night before and refrigerate, or pour over ice to cool quickly.
  2. Combine the cold foam ingredients: In a small bowl or jar, add cold milk, heavy cream, pumpkin puree, maple syrup, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and a pinch of salt. Whisk briefly with a fork to break up the pumpkin puree.
  3. Froth until thick and creamy: Using a handheld frother, froth for 20-30 seconds until the mixture holds soft peaks. Alternatively, use a French press by pumping the plunger vigorously for 30 seconds.
  4. Fill your glass with ice. Use about 1 cup of ice cubes for a standard 12-ounce glass.
  5. Pour the cold coffee over the ice, leaving about an inch of space at the top for the foam.
  6. Layer the pumpkin cold foam on top: Use a spoon held upside down just above the coffee surface to gently guide the foam over the back of the spoon. Do not stir.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle a tiny pinch of pumpkin pie spice on top. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

For best results, use cold milk straight from the fridge. If foam isn’t thickening, chill the milk in the freezer for 5 minutes before frothing. The foam can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days; re-froth before using. For a dairy-free version, use full-fat oat milk and coconut cream.
