This Easy Slow Cooker Cranberry Orange Glazed Ham is sweet and tangy, with a sticky glaze that clings to every slice. The slow cooker does all the heavy lifting, so you’re not stuck in the kitchen for hours.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (6-8 lb) bone-in spiral-cut ham
  • 1 (14 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Remove the ham from its packaging and pat it dry with paper towels. If it has a plastic disk on the bone, remove it. Place the ham flat-side down in the slow cooker.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the cranberry sauce, orange juice, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, orange zest, cloves, and cinnamon. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  3. Pour about half the glaze over the ham, using a spoon to spread it evenly. Reserve the rest for later. Make sure the glaze gets into the spiral cuts.
  4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours, or on HIGH for 2-3 hours. About halfway through, baste the ham with the juices that have accumulated at the bottom.
  5. In the last 30 minutes of cooking, pour the reserved glaze over the ham. For a thicker finish, turn the slow cooker to HIGH and leave the lid slightly ajar.
  6. Once the ham is heated through (internal temperature should reach 140°F), turn off the slow cooker. Let the ham rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing. Use tongs to transfer it to a cutting board, then slice along the spiral cuts. Spoon some of the glaze from the pot over the slices before serving.

Notes

Baste the ham every hour to keep it moist. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ham reaches 140°F. If the ham is not spiral-cut, score the surface in a diamond pattern. If the glaze is too thin at the end, simmer the juices on the stovetop to thicken.
