A simple, cozy dessert featuring baked peaches with warm cinnamon and a touch of honey or maple syrup, perfect for a guilt-free treat under 100 calories per serving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or coconut oil
  • Optional toppings: chopped toasted almonds or crushed pecans, Greek yogurt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash, halve, and pit the peaches. Peel if desired.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ground cinnamon, nutmeg, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
  4. Add the peach halves to the bowl and gently coat each piece with the spice mixture without mashing.
  5. Arrange the peaches in your baking dish, cut side up. Drizzle the olive or coconut oil over the top.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until peaches are tender but still hold their shape and edges bubble and brown slightly.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle toasted nuts on top or serve warm with a spoonful of Greek yogurt.
  8. Serve warm immediately or let cool to room temperature and store leftovers in the fridge.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches to avoid mushiness. Add a splash of water or apple juice to the baking dish if peaches look dry before baking. For a quick caramelized finish, broil for 1-2 minutes at the end, watching carefully to avoid burning. Leftovers keep well refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheat gently.
