This Quick Overnight Peanut Butter Protein Oats recipe is the perfect grab-and-go breakfast that takes just 5 minutes to prepare the night before. Creamy, packed with peanut butter flavor and protein, it keeps you full until lunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (50g) rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) peanut butter
  • 1 scoop (about 30g) vanilla or unflavored protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds (optional but recommended)
  • For topping: 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon dark chocolate chips
  • Additional peanut butter drizzle
  • Crushed peanuts

Instructions

  1. Add the liquid ingredients first: pour the milk and Greek yogurt into your jar or container.
  2. Add the peanut butter and sweetener: spoon in the peanut butter and drizzle in the honey or maple syrup.
  3. Add the protein powder: scoop it in and whisk or stir vigorously until completely dissolved.
  4. Add the oats and chia seeds: pour them in and stir until everything is evenly combined.
  5. Seal and refrigerate: put the lid on your jar and place it in the fridge for at least 6 hours, ideally 12 hours.
  6. Stir before serving: in the morning, take the jar out of the fridge and give it a good stir.
  7. Add toppings and enjoy: slice your banana, sprinkle on chocolate chips, drizzle extra peanut butter, and dig in.

Notes

For best results, use rolled oats (not instant or steel-cut). Mix protein powder with liquid first to avoid clumps. Let oats soak for a full 12 hours for optimal creaminess. Chia seeds are optional but help thicken the oats. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days; do not freeze.
